1A. DEFINITIONS

  • “TCCIS” means Tan Chong Centre of Industrial Studies. 2nd Flr, Lot 9 Jln Kemajuan 12/18, 46200 Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.
  • “Intellectual Property Rights” means all types of proprietary rights recognized in law, including copyright, design right and trademarks.
  • “Site” means the TCCIS website.
  • “Terms” mean the TCCIS Site terms and conditions.

1. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed exclusively by and are to be interpreted in accordance with all applicable laws of Malaysia. The provisions set out in these Terms apply to anyone who accesses this Site regardless of their place of residence. Unless otherwise stated, these provisions apply to all services and information disclosed on the pages of the Site. By assessing this website and/or using the services as provided herein by TCCIS, the user hereby consents to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia in any and all actions, disputes or controversies arising out of or in relation to the use of this website or any pages thereof. TCCIS makes no representation of the material(s), information(s), function(s) and/or service(s) provided on this website are appropriate or suitable for use in jurisdiction other than Malaysia. TCCIS, its directors and/or officers and/or employees and/or agents shall not in any manner be held responsible for any material and/or information obtained from the website and shall not be in any manner whatsoever, whether directly or indirectly, be held responsible and/or liable to the user in respect of any errors, inaccuracies or mistakes in material and/or information captured and or obtained from the said website, or inability to use or access, this Site. TCTech is required to comply with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 which sets boundaries, maintains and monitors the processing of personal data in commercial transactions. This Personal Data notice applies to any person whose personal data is processed by TCTech or on behalf of TCTech.

1. The main aim of this notice is to inform you of the data processing employed by TCTech.

2. The data processed by TCTech may include your name, designation, company’s name, contact details, e-mail address and any other Personal Data required for the purposes outlined below.

3. TCTech may use your Personal Data for the following purposes:

a) To maintain and update the databases of students, stakeholders and any other related parties.
b) To process registrations and applications that have been submitted to TCTech.
c) To act as a communication link between TCTech and you to conrm that your Personal Data is accurate.
d) To update you regarding upcoming events, promotions and oers facilitated by TCTech.
e) To obtain feedback, complaints and enquiries regarding TCTech.
f ) Any other administrative purposes related to the purposes stated above.

4. Personal data collection is derived from a myriad of sources, including the information you have provided us, information obtained from public databases and information obtained from third parties or aliates.

a) To our aliates or related third parties (contact details and e-mail addresses) for the purpose of e-mail blasts, benecial activities and other relevant information.
b) To regulatory authorities, government departments and relevant agencies pursuant to the lawful requirements and organizations aliated with TCTech.
c) Where such disclosure is required or authorized by law or order of a court.

7. TCTech shall retain your personal data from the date of collection for a necessary period for the fulllment of the purposes of for compliance with lawful and legal obligations.
8. Unless otherwise stated by TCTech at the time of Personal Data collection, it is the responsibility of you, our valued customer, to provide us with the Personal Data requested
9. You are obliged to warrant that the Personal Data that you have provided to TCTech is accurate, complete, truthful and up-to-date. It is your responsibility to update us if there are any changed to your Personal Data.
10. TCTech reserves the right to amend this Personal Data Notice when necessary. Any amendments or changes will be made known to you via our website, e-mail or mail. All amendments or changes made will eective immediately upon notice to you.
